Ransom Paid
As my blacksmith Zancon melts the gold ingots into proper bars I wanted to write down my thoughts about last night.
The ransom was suppose to be done Friday but the cowardly horde never showed. So instead we did it Saturday in front of our keep. Kekeka held the Duchess out of sight until Field Marshal De La Ladinne and I made sure that the correct amount of gold was there.
The Duke arrived with two priests. He asked to use the outhouse which was promptly denied. I'm not letting them into any of our structures, not even our shit house. But he then did something rather strange. After we pushed the Duchess to him he refused to leave.
I'm not sure who struck first but the Duke and his more powerful priest friend struck Kekeka. The three horde then bolted with the Duchess. The Field Marshal caught the Duke on fire as I chased after him hammering my great axe into his back before turning back towards the other priest. She tried to leap off the ledge but the casting of the Field Marshal doomed her escape. By the time I arrived her flaming body was plummeting down to the river below. Its possible she survived but doubtful.
When we arrived we could see the Duchess dragging her beloved Duke towards the tunnel. I thought about chasing them down and capturing her again but, the same philosophy that kept me from killing her originally kept me from doing that to the Duke. He was injured and bleeding out. If he lives the more power to him. The last priest the one who fled from the beginning had already bolted down the caves showing typical blood elf loyalty.
So ransom paid and the Duke's forces routed. A successful evening to end the Duchess' stay at our keep.

((Actually, Quellian set off a bomb (using a cannon trinket), and I ran in to Fear you guys into running, for authenticity or distraction. With 2/3 people in RP gear, and myself in PvE, there was no fighting planned.
Also, tell Confusion that she's the first woman Eury's ever found attractive. S-Priests are getting a talent called "Masochism", you know.

(( Eurynine, depending on the lifetime estimates given, is anywhere in his late 70's-80's, or 120's, and has always shown a marked preference for men. Her being older will just let him feel less like a sexual deviant. I think it was being overpowered that did it -if a pretty face ever did the job for him, I think he'd have been married by now.

OOC: The Friday Night fail was due to me... and work- a unexpected event. As for the RP-actually towards the end it got kinda hay wire... as I tried to relay translations... Quellian did inform me he would ignite a small bomb as a distraction matter just to insure their escape. But before I could relay the purpose of this bomb to Monroe via- whisper. Quellian had acted and crap went so fast I was like O_o flabbergasted. It is said that Quellian and his escorts were set a blaze and injured and leaped from the cliffs. But I think Monroe and I agreed oocly that the injuries were not a death blow since I have pointed out to him that the effect of a bomb being ignited within feet of them was totally ignored ...*smiles*.. But I still had a great time and told Monroe that I already brainstorm another encounter. One that will not be so long drawn and will not involve Cymbol.
