Into a Waygate and on Father

Dear Joruanl,

This last night I found myself back in Hyjal for a second time this week.   I was on a mission lead by Justicar Maewood along with Kanta, Eadris, Koryander, Pembroke and Caelhana.  According to the Justicar there was a forge inside one of the way-gates near the Shrine of Goldrin.  Getting into the way-gate was not that hard the cultist presence near the way-gate was there but not a challenging force to overcome.  Inside…

Anecdotal Alchemy 71: Hatred

I understand your hatred.

You think that I feel only love, but there is one who remembers differently. Akhania of the Raven Blade was the one to first find me, so many years ago in the Dear Scar. I was fighting the undead with a heart full of rage, ready to keep attacking until I fell of exhaustion.

I hate the the undead. I hate the Forsaken.

Imagine a beautiful summer day, a life peaceful and pure. Imagine the clatter of bone and the scrape of…

Old Entry: Surgery

Disclaimer: Yes, this journal post is based on the song "Zydrate Anatomy" from Repo the Genetic Opera. I shall provide a link to the original song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otdH3SLNx-s Lyrics were changed to fit the lore of World of Warcraft, and I hereby claim that I had nothing to do with the writing of the actual song. Full credit goes to Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith for the original…

[Journal] The Sole Soldier's Passion

I find a short reprieve in the beginning of each new week, with Celestyna's Sunday Service and the gathering of known and unknown faces. Alekxandar Winchester, the self-proclaimed morale officer and collectively-dubbed prankster of the Templars, delivered the sermon. While I was certain that Alekxandar planned a joke on his audience, his sermon was instead thoughtful and well-done. He again…

Officer's Journal # 255

It's quiet now, late at night. All I can hear is the soft rustling of the trees as the wind blows through them in Stormwind, the cathedral bells tolling the hour, and the insects chirping as they go on about their lives. This single flickering candle my only illumination as I write in this journal, late at night when I should be sleeping with my wife. I turn in my chair and cannot help but smile as I look at her. She seems so much at peace when she is asleep, like there is not a care in the…

[Story] War: Separate Mantles

OOC: This is part of the Letter to the Lightbringer chain of events, which began with a letter sent to Arialynn by Kormok, requesting to remove Hillsbrad refugees from a Tear fortress. This scene took place a little earlier than this journal was published. The writing is catching up with the current…

Anecdotal Alchemy 70: Mourning

Have they forgotten, so easily, what hatred brings? It is what weakens the spirits and makes us ready victims for the Burning Legion, for the Scourge. Hatred is what feeds the unholy enemy and makes them strong. Vandrian tried to warn me that lending my aid would only bring me sorrow, despite my wishes to protect my clan. Yet, he did not protest when I insisted they needed me, choosing instead to let me learn firsthand the painful lessons that his thousands of years have taught him…

Anecdotal Alchemy 69: Astranaar

The call to withdraw finally sounded, and the relief it brought upon hearing it gave her strength anew. The wounds she suffered, made by arrow and unholy weapon, burned as she moved, but she would not attend to herself until she had seen her clanmates to safety.

She lingered near the rear of the retreating forces, shielding her clan as they departed. So focused was she on her task that she nearly missed the painful cry a short distance away as she ran along the…

[Letter] A Sealed Letter to Kormok Wraithverge and Carmila Suntreader

To Kormok Wraithverge and Carmila Suntreader,

I send this letter to both of you, so that you share in my current mind.

Carmila, I received your letter and this one will answer your concerns in full. It will likely create new concerns for you and the Bloods, to which I will rely on your judgment to lead your order…

Journal for the 9th of September

The night of the eighth of September was a night of polar opposites.  The night began perfect for me, I attended the Darkmoon Faire and took part in a game Konney and Eadris had set up.  It was a axe throwing game see if you could get the axe between the ropes.  It was quite entertaining to watch other people try it and it was a more difficult than it appear to be from the sidelines.  I ended up winning a little wind up ape toy, it was pretty amusing to watch run around later…

"You betrayed me. You were to be my lover, my best friend, my wife and maybe even the mother of my children. Yet, I come home to betrayal...You have shared your bed with others. You could not have loved me as you said you did..."

Her expression fell flat, his words were ringing in her ears. He had never mentioned anything to her but wishing to be her friend. He would hold her, he would kiss her - but, he was clear.

"We are friends Ephasia...You…

A letter to Justicar Maewood regarding the refugees

To Justicar Maewood,

As we spoke about a few days ago I have headed up to Northrend to inspect the suitability of t he Grizzly Hills or Howling Fjord areas for being a possible relocation site of the Refugees in Silverpine forest. Both areas seemed like a good idea at first though upon investigation of the Howling Fjord the Vykrul still seem to be threat to any settlers in the area. I was…

Anecdotal Alchemy 68: Dream World

Lately I find myself envying the time-lost trances Vandrian falls in to from time to time. I wonder if sometimes he allows himself willingly to be swept up by the astral tides, so as to not have to deal with the chaos unravelling around him.

He is older, so much older than all of us, that another battle must mean little to him. A war that does not threaten the entirely of the world must be so trivial to him, nothing more than a minor annoyance, when it still all so very new and…

[Log] Sermon on Sin, Compassion, Judgment

OOC: This was given by Arialynn during the August 28th, 2011 Sunday Service. My log missed part of the beginning, so I rewrote it from memory. The rest is taken verbatim from the sermon. To those who would like to see the sermon in full with the /says and /emotes of its attendees, let me know and I'll clip the screenshots.…

Old Entry: Burn It All

Valinthras hobbled his way from the keep on Fenris Isle where he'd spoken with Insein. Everything seemed lost to him. He could never return to his home as long as the Alliance occupied the area. He had made his decision, however. He was going to disappear from society for a while. No longer could he bear to stand and fight a losing battle. He would leave his remaining resources with the Commander's regime, but he was adamant in withdrawing himself from this…

The hearts biggest loss

As Ephasia dipped her feet into Olivias Pond, letting the water ripple around her toes, her thoughts wanered as they often did. She barely got a moments peace, and when she did it was a cherished time.

"I'm sorry sir - I don't really know how to address you."

Her voice was so meek at that time. Radighast was sitting across from her - the three of them in the library of the keep. A man was about to be executed. Hung from the gallows -…
