Rain pattered through Elwynn's canopy as Theresia exited through the portal. The others of the Society were not too far behind, appearing just moments after. Maev took a moment, looking upwards at the cloud cover and let out a billowing guffaw. The rain, it seemed, had amused him greatly, and despite what it could do to his instrument, he continued to stand and laugh as his clothes begun to soak through.

Time had passed enough for the sun to completely set, making the already darkened forest even darker. The flickering flames of the camp fire gave a limiting sight distance where Theresia could only see the trees closest to them. That is, unless she looked down at the Darkmoon Faire below, its festive lights streaming from one end to the other light a starlit canopy.

The sun began to set in Elwynn Forest as Theresia made her way to the Darkmoon Faire portal. The musty evening air alluded to an earlier shower that had only just begun to rise from the partially damp dirt. Earlier that day, an unsealed letter fluttered its way into the opened window of the home she shared with Tobias. A symphony of notes resounded within Theresia’s ears, the tempo allegro. Her brain pounded like it was timpani hit with a mallet during a crescendo. Someone was speaking throughout the orchestral performance, their voice a stark contrast to the violent beauty.
