Most of us are characters that are older than Cata, so what's going out there is stuff we may not have heard of. We've had "bigger fish to try" so to speak. Dealing with world threats. But suddenly all us who were united spontaneously started a war. While we live in the Blizzard created world, we have our own spin on it from our interactions. Try making speeches and telling us about the atrocities of each side to get us riled up. The "war" is more than 2 years old, but it's fallen to the wayside because we realized we had to all deal with certain problems. A building of tensions once again would serve to get more people to support a war instead of fight against it.  less

It feels forced, like the normal breakdown of communications before a war hasn't happened. It was just spontaneous. I think we needed smaller things where both sides started small hostilities, before it escalated. That was the idea behind the peace summit, to simulate that breakdown and help make it feel more natural. The Olympics stuff we're planning could be a great way for this to happen. There could be accusations of cheating afterwards that lead to skirmishes and battles. Something to ramp it up instead of heading full steam in without a major reason other than "War is coming in MoP." I'm looking forward to the Pathfinders going head to head with the Wolves over artifacts in a war setting, but it needs to build up to really feel the tension. The Dragonblight campaign was amazing because it took the time to ramp up, and this war deserves the same treatment.  less
