Naxevo layed in bed all day. He was thinking, thinking and would not be disturbed. Once or twice he was broken from his trance with footsteps downstairs and the possibility of someone coming into watch him. He knew it was Insein. He knew she would keep her word, but not for the reason he had hoped. He knew the reason why she had come to "fix" him. He knew it was for her own concious mind. No love, no sympathy, just to make sure she didn't have the death of a Clan member on her hands. He knew he was her responsibility. His Necromancy was growing within him once again, fear replaced with deterimination in the art. So he saw the truth. The truth in all of them. Lelle's hatred, Snake's annoyance but determination to help friends. Velexie's wanting to get rid of him. Shame's call for his death. He could feel it all in their souls, which is why he had to ask himself, why had they not seen his choice, why did they not see the truth of his actions.
It had all started back in the hills of Trisfal. He had just discarded his dead beloved Sarah from total existance, no spirit, no body, no soul. It was one of the first things he learned being a Scourge Necromancer. He then had sat down, pondering his own actions until he saw the crystal at his feet. Tilting his head he picked up the crystal to examine it and his mind suddenly felt like it was buzzing, he knew who was in it. Mal'negor.
"You are on your way Veldor, you had the courage to slay your own beloved and we are impressed." he said in a soothing tone, his magic stroking his mind in a comforting way. "You must embrace the full potential of the Fel. You will be greatly rewarded. You could be with your parents once again...you could have Velexie to be your lover and wife." he said again, influence and power working his way behind the soothing tone.
Naxevo looked down at the stone and nodded, tucking it into his bag and starting to head back to Ambermill, hearing the rest of the converstaion.
"Insein always said she wanted power, calling you weak and unable to control you own actions. She wants you to have power, she wants you to embrace the fullest of the Fel and show her you are strong. We can give this to you, we can make you...invincible. Either woman could be yours with your new power, allow us to help and guide you. We are your family Veldor, we are your friends..." the demon continued in a hushed tone. His voice growing in excitement as he read Nax's thoughts.
The truth was, the demon was right. Insein had wanted power, she wanted him to not be weak and defenceless. She loved seing him in power in a sort of prideful way, as if to say, "He's mine to sponcer, mine to have." He sneered outwards at the thought. And she called me the controlling one. Everyone called him the controling one, but it was them who wanted to see him have power, they wouldn't except weakness. All he wanted was acceptance, not to be called weak or controlling. He had never wanted this. All he wanted was a place in someone's heart, and in a family of his own. He had wanted to call Kormok his father, to make the bond to the Tears a family tie.
"Do you accept our proposal? Can we be friends?" the demon said more hastily, even though he knew the answer to Nax's soul, whom he could already feel in his grasp.
Naxevo nodded virtually at no one, as he saw Ambermill in the distance. Insein wanted power. He would give her power to gloat about. If he was her toy to show off, then so be it. Let her see that he was even more powerful then Azalen. That he could save Azalen's soul with a slight flick of his wrist.
But they didn't see this. They saw him still as a weakling. Unable to control himself. He had warned them about this, you cannot have unlimited power, and control. One has to give.
One...has to be forefited.
Naxevo arrived at Ambermill, awaiting Insein's return. He and the demon both laughed as they waited, talking amongst eachother at the possiblities of Veldor's future. Nax didn't care the demon called him by his human name. He had power, which is what everyone wanted from him.
He wasn't a Blind Fool. He saw the world through the eyes...of Sargeras.
