January 31st, Midnight.

  • January 31st,
    Midnight.

I think, as it seems this is the week of change for myself, that I require a hobby to keep my attention in the nights where I'm left to my own devices.

For a time, I have mastered the craft of removing the hide from beasts to provide others with materials. Yet I was always discouraged by doing such due to my heart never wanting to murder a creature simply to provide. I require something more productive and less bloody.

The Gnomes and Goblins have long dabbled with mechanics and have come with some rather brilliant inventions. Some to inflict pain, others for simple entertainment and more yet to give life to others should magic fail.

I shall begin my studies immediately.

    ...

After a long day of hard study, I have created myself a flying machine that attunes itself to my magic and will come to me with a simple spell. Evidently, I've a knack for this.

I found myself two new companions within the Cathedral this evening.

Sarah Tinderspeck, a gnomish priestess locked within a human body via an alchemy-induced accident.

Caitlighn Firehammer, a dwarven woman who oddly seems to enjoy my company as much as I enjoy her own.

After speaking with the both of them, I seem to have signed myself up for an event known as a 'date auction'. Where persons are auctioned off for a sum of gold. I can only hope that I raise a fair sum for an hour of my time. Though I dare not get my hopes up.

Oddly, Cait told me that I was a 'smooth talker'. I find it amusing after all my years away.
