Dear love of my life,
Today, many people will write love letters expressing their passion for one another. Others will indulge in chocolate and other sweets, or give flowers to friends. This evening I write to you, my dearest love, in hopes that someday you will read this and remember how much I care for you. I do not know what you look like. I do not even know if you will be born a boy or a girl.
It does not matter.
No amount of flowers or candy could ever singly express my commitment to you. I will always be there for you. I will always love you, no matter who you become or what path you choose to take in life. With your birth, you carry my hopes and dreams for the future. You are my salvation, my reason for waking up in the morning. Without you, my life would be meaningless.
So today I want to tell you, baby, that I will forever love you unconditionally as any mother should. I will give you everything I possibly can and then I will give you more. I will protect you, I will listen to you and I will be your best friend even when you become a teenager and inevitably, end up hating me.
