Your Characters' Theme Music

Yes! The age old forum post is being recycled again by me! On this new site! I've had more time to think about my personal selections so here they are! Also, when your posting, might work better to include your toon's name, race, RP class (if any) and a reason as to why a song relates to your character.

    Janderius Reed, Human Warmage:

    Shinedown- Diamond Eyes

Song about fighting, perception and general badassery.

    Dragonforce- Prepare for War

    Prepare for War!

Bullet for My Valentine- Hearts Burst Into Fire

Farily accurately depicts Jand's absence from September to April.

    Atreyu- Honor

It's about honor and fighting in wars, and puts a positive spin on it.

    Alter Bridge- Ties That Bind

Tells about Jand leaving the Legion pretty well.

    Desmond Taylor, Human Holy/Prot Paladin:

    Dirty Pretty Things- Deadwood
This is just a fun song that reflects Taylor's personality, the lead singer's voice is about how I would imagine his being. The meaning is about casting deadwood off in your life that's holding you back, for Taylor that would be his memories of Northrend.

    Skillet- Awake and Alive

The song's lyrics are pretty relevant to Taylor, it works well for a paladin to have a song about faith. It also highlights fairly well the fact that he is a strong advocate of the values that protestantism is based on. Mainly that the most important part of your faith/worship is your personal relationship and connection to your deity, not ceremony or group sermons.

Roksingar, Orc Hunter and Warsong Mechanic:

    Buckethead- Frankenseuss Laboratories

A very interesting and chaotic piece from Buckethead, sounds like the setting of a laboratory or workshop, and retains a very sinister tone throughout. Seems to fit Rok rather well.

    Buckethead- Cobra's Hood

Another one with a mood that seems very fitting for the eccentric orc. You kind of have to ignore the odd voice clips that are thrown in about Bucketheadland.

Jasper Sherman Stormpike, Dwarf Frost Death Knight:

    Andrew W.K.- Party Hard

    Veleth, Blood Elf Paladin

    Sonne by Rammstein

I think this fits Veleth since the Cataclysm because it sets the mood that he's a complete wreck over the death of his wife and crippling of his daughter. The lyrics also fit because in English they're talking about how the sun can be painful, which is how Veleth uses the Sun's energy. Other than that I chose it because it was awesome.

    Rastrack, Worgen Warrior

Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon

The style of it fits the way Rastrack is. It's what I think of whenever I'm wandering through Stormwind.

    Mekun, Orc Death Knight

Invaders Must Die by the Prodigy

Mekun thinks he's still in the Second War, so he's completely focused on killing Allys. Charging through Warsong Gulch and kicking elves in the chest and breaking their ribs is all in a day's work. That and this character is a Duke Nukem ripoff, so I might as well ripoff the music in his trailer.

    Fraxinus, Worgen Druid

Discovery Life Theme (Vocals by Lisbeth Scott)

I like to think of this as the theme for not only Fraxinus, but also the Sunrise Brake.

  • August 1, 2011 12:20:42 PM EDT

Lilithia Elianas Emberfall, Sentient Word Puzzle

    Boole - Thelema

Elianas strives to live upon the principle that, through understanding of the self and clarity of will, the individual is greater than the mores and restraints society has placed upon itself, and in essence becomes the only person capable of judging themselves.  This, combined with her determination to preserve and progress the 'experiment' of free will for the consciousnesses of Azeroth, makes many of the messages in this song fit her.

Yay! I love this thread. :D

All these songs are kinda like music that would commonly follow the character!

    Kelsus Hadson, Human Archmage

    Kingdom Under Fire: Credits

The tone and feeling of this fills Kelsus past life and previous experiences in the Third War. A setting of an era ending.

    The Fall of Icarus

The song symbolizes the past and darkness behind Kelsus and how he must forever live with it, trying to change the future and shape it into one in peace.

    MGS Peace Walker: Snake Eater

This song has a great feeling of sorrow and despair, that really follows Kelsus. Something tha the usualyl hides.

    Letters from Iwo Jima

This is likely one of Kelsus theme towards renewel, a path towards becoming a Hero and Archmage.

    Edit: Fixed!

I posted this on my journal already but I do feel it fits Ereadakini very well, sums up her mentality. Never give up, never surrender. Turisas - Stand Up And Fight

  • August 1, 2011 12:57:15 PM EDT
Super Easy: A mash-up of Yakety-Sax and...I dunno... something like Sex Type Thing, probly. I'll assume if you really wanted to know, Google can handle both of those song titles.
  • August 1, 2011 1:04:37 PM EDT

From the very beginning of Caitrine, Dream Evil - The Chosen Ones seemed most fitting for her. She sacrificed a lot to become what she is now and she has had to fight her way through life since she was a child. She feels that she was in a way, chosen, to do what she does. She has always thrived to be the best she can be in order to honor her father's memory, to be a hero and to be a legend one day. A female dwarf to be left in the history books - perhaps for killing Deathwing.

We are the chosen ones, we sacrifice our blood
    We kill for honor
We are the holy ones our armor stained with blood
    We killed the dragon
    We're the chosen ones!

    ...I have returned!

    For my theme...!

    Oh No You Didn't

A good theme of the comeback of one of Stormwind's lunatical and pyachopathic manaics :D

Looking For Group: Slaughter Your World

    Kill things...that...don't fight back!

    Wenna Mackenzie, Worgen Druid

Wenna in a good mood is absolutely this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfnQ_It1s3s. (Sky Stroll - Howl's Moving Castle) She's smiling, happy and in good spirits. It's a grand mood that overtakes who she's with and makes them want to dance around and forget about the troubles of the world!

However, when she's on a rampage, the song changes to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68hxUjT2Ong (Machinae Supremacy - Nova Prospekt). She'll cut you!

    Nairus Truesight, Dwarven Priest

Nairus is a bit more... uniform. He is pretty gruff, but level-headed and kind. His song is more in tune with his roots: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQpqOUO4W8M (Gaelic Storm - Me and the Moon...Sorry, this is a crappy version of it). He's a solitary fellow, enjoys his drinking, but prefers being around his friends.

    Riaanan

Enter Serenia by Jack Wall from the Myst IV:  Revelation soundtrack.

I think this music adequately exemplifies how I portray Riaanan through my roleplay.  Well....when she's not getting angry...

  • August 1, 2011 2:41:03 PM EDT

For Celestyna, there has always been one song that really sums her up, The 69 Eyes - Sister of Charity.

  • August 1, 2011 6:43:18 PM EDT

Syvbia- "Bring me to life" Evanessence
    Syvbar- "I Believe" by ManOWar.

    Valthar-"Ich Will"Ramstein
Cymbol-" Sonne" ( I have to snag this from Veleth since Im a fan of Ramstein as well)
    Jalwyn- "Sweating Bullets" By Megadeth.

    * Forgive that I didnt dattle discriptions as to why I dedicated these songs to the character. Some of them are pretty common songs and perhaps other wise well known and some arent' but most of my selection is hard rock ( like megadeth) and Heavy Metal ( Like ManOwar ). If ya find it hard to finda good song that would related great with most WOW story lines and dont mind the Heavy Metal. Check out some of ManOWar. IMO :)

A dedicated  song : ( To  TPL ) 'Call to Arms '  by ManOWar.

To me this  screams  Monroe  hehe

*hifives Syvbia* Love Sweating Bullets for Jalwyn, and Syvbia's one is pretty fitting too. I was going to put "Play for Blood" by Megadeth for Jand but there's not a good youtube link for it.

    Ralone, Worgen Mage

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBjQ9tuuTJQ

The Pretender, Foo Fighters. I think it fits Ralone.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ-2J0b1uS0

I'm Alive, Disturbed, another song I really think of Ralone when I'm listening to it.

    Dalen, Worgen Druid

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF1iZH1F40s

Requiem for a Tower - I don't know. I can't really use a Metal Song for Dalen. This one really reminds me of him.

Firstly. Eeeeeeeee! I'm a music geek and love theme song threads. Hmm hmm, let's see!

Brenaan's (drae shaman) theme music is very...eclectic.To say the least:

"Start Wearing Purple" - Gogol Bordello

    "Mr Boombastic" - Shaggy

    "Word Up!" - Korn

    "Teddy Bear" - Elvis

"I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" - Merv Griffin

Edit: Whatever caused my post to get eaten doesn't seem a problem now. Added the remainder of characters songs down under Dorìan!

Eruanna Darksquall: Night Elf Priest. She's a sweet, hopeless young woman with stars in her eyes. She isn't a pacifist, persay, but she does refuse to take a life with her own hands, and mourns the lives of those who must die for the sake of peace.

    • My Dream: DHT

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNRdGomS-Xc&list=FLFrUCXsthL6U&index=74

Moria'Estel Ainua: Rogue. A fun loving, showman and exhibitionist. She loves to drink, f*ck and party, and would gladly do it every waking moment... Still, when she takes on a job, she buckles down like the best of them. Granted... it takes her a little while to decide if she's willing to kill said mark. She also has a nasty habit of hating herself...

    • Not a Virgin: Poe

Sarah-Jane: Worgen Warlock. She's not a bad girl, so much as a selfish girl that lets her own hopes and desires cloud her eyes and mind to what's really around her... landing her smack dab in very bad situations.

    • Stupid: Sarah McLachlan

Cordelia Rene O'Conner: Forsaken (Hunter) She was a lonely, abused young woman who was raising her little brother, as her parents ran off to fight in the war against the Lich King. After a few trials and tribulations, and meeting Dorian, she grew rather twisted and almost seems like two people. The young woman with wide eyes and a sweet heart, and a lil' serial killer in training.

Bernadette D'Chevalier: Worgen Druid She is practically her sister's dopleganger in apperances... then again, they are twins. She was the younger by an hour or so, and has never lived it down. She has... a big problem compairing herself to Sabine 'Beanie' D'Chevalier, and tends to feel like the lesser of the two. Where her sister is outgoing, she is quiet and sober. Despite all this, she is a remarkably skilled healer and is gentle to those she tends.

Efrem McCallister: Worgen Mage A club footed worgen mage, who's far to calm, cool and collected. He's got a big heart, a lovely face, and is a stickler for being as gentlemanly as possible. He might be concidered a fop.

Looks like the forums are being kind today! Can get a few more characters added on :)

Dorìan D'Winter (undead mage). Dorìan's music has been easier to pin down than some, and I think a lot less nutty than Bren's. Of course, as far as my characters go they're polar opposites. The comedian and the seriel killer. Dor may not be fully sociopathic, but he's very close to it.

    "I Don't Care" - Apocalyptica

    "Fear" - Evergrey

"Thankless Job" - Sountrack from Repo! The Genetic Opera

"My Friends" - Soundtrack from Sweeney Todd

    "Mad World" - Gary Jules

    "Trigger Happy Jack" - Poe

Aèaron Darksquall (halfelf mage). Have a harder time with Aear's music when I'm playing him. He's got a lot more going on than he displays.

"I Want Love" - Elton John

"No Rest for the Wicked" - Cage The Elephant

"Secret Life of Dr. Calgori" - Abney Park

    "Pirate's Gospel" - Alela Diane

A song that suits Aear's side of he and Anna's relationship: "One and Only" - Adele

Donniè O'Conner (worgen warlock). Angry little man!

    "Coming Undone" - Korn

    "Bad Things" - Jace Everett

"Animal I Have Become" - Three Days Grace

A song for Donniè and Sarah Jane - "Welcome Home" - Coheed and Cambria

Waen Garravore (night elf "druid"). Waen's music is much more instrumental, suitable I suppose since he's the serious and often silent type.

"Der Ring der Nibelungen" - E Nomine

"The Requiem Mass in D minor (K. 626)" - Mozart

Sabìne D'Chevalier (worgen rogue). A female, GASP! Bean is an espionage specialist and personality wise very outgoing and likely ADD as she can never hold still.

"Hide and Seek" - Namie Amuro

"Hold Me Now" - Nanne Grönvall

    "Wild World" - Cat Stevens
