Earthen Ring New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year, Earthen Ring. Let's make New Year's resolutions for Earthen Ring, with a twist: instead of being a what I want thread, let's push it towards what I will do to make it happen.

Your resolution can be as little or big as you'd like to make it, and I really push people to think of roleplay ideas or other Earthen Ring-related things, and how you'd like to accomplish them. It can be ideas done previously, current things that you want to change, or new things you'd like to try. Let's keep this thread kickin' throughout the year and shoot for these goals.

Here are mine:

I want to push for roleplay in all capital cities. What I'm going to do is... start with hosting the Harbor Market in different capital cities and in the week prior to the market, push for an Occupy Ironforge/Darnassus/Exodar movement. I'm going to contact guilds, event runners, and roleplayers of the native races to help coordinate capital city roleplay during the occupy movements.

I want to add a more economic element to the Harbor Market. What I'm going to do is... figure out a way to set up a guild bank item exchange between roleplay guilds for rare or often sought items, and set up a crafters or seeking crafters list on the ERN.

I want to push for the most inclusive roleplay environment we can achieve. What I'm going to do is... start with that we are not perfect and there is always room for improvement. I'm going to do my part by greeting new folks to Earthen Ring every opportunity I have, introduce them to the ERN, roleplay with them, and speak up more often on the ER forums and /forthealliance. I will help them find friends and guilds if they're unsure where to look.

I want to host or assist in more largescale server storylines. What I'm going to do is... get the creative ball rolling. Like the Dragonblight Campaign and Theramore's Fall, I'm thinking of new ideas for the future and beginning to draft them to paper.

I want to encourage Horde vs. Alliance roleplay with Lion's Landing as a focal point. What I'm going to do is... whether it's roleplay or RP-PvP, myself and others are going to push for occupying Lion's Landing and using the world PvP mechanics in place for some fun nights of red vs. blue.

Blargh. I'll make a personal resolution to somewhat accept your kilt obsession, and I will do so by repeatedly punching you in the face till I feel better being supportive.

Check out my first event..just themed things like only use pets related to x culture and etc etc. I suck an organizing things.

I want to rekindle Blackdawn at some point.  I'll be taking a step back from the Gilnean Patriot designs of the guild, and looking at other facets of Alsydair's life and personality and skills, and attempt to find another purpose for the guild that will work longer term than one expansion.

This year I want to engage in more long-term RP. What I'm going to do is make myself a part of storylines. I will stay true to lore, and work on crafting a character well. If I and everyone else enjoys the story and enjoys being a part of that RP, then I will consider it a success.

I want to write more this year. What I'm going to do is make more journals based on what RP I've been doing and what place my character takes in this absolutely wonderful storyline Blizzard is making right now.

I want to bring some lighthearted RP into a bleak world. What I'm going to do is put on more whacky Goblin themed events for both sides to remind us that Warcraft has a sense of humor and isn't about just war.

Do some writing. Journals, stories, anything. I have lots of ideas, but can't motivate myself to sit down and type.
